Inspired by Caitlin at Spruced Up, I have taken some pics of my favourite bits and pieces in my house. Having had the urge to redecorate recently, (a grey ceiling is NEVER a good idea), I also thought I would take photos of each room and write on the back things that I want to change. Our house is a mish mash of different styles, and consists of stuff from The Kenneth's old flat, my bedroom at my parents' house and a whole host of newer things. I long for a house straight out of the pages of ELLE Decoration, very minimal, consistently styled with colour pallettes and clean lines and neutral spaces, but I honestly don't think that this is really practical for a family with overflowing wardrobes, and the contents of Toys R' Us strewn about the floor. Oh well, I can but dream!

First up is the bedroom. This is where the computer and the bed are (obviously) so I spend oodles of time in here. Too much time actually. I think my eyesight would be so much better if I laid off the computer for a while, but I can't help it. I am officially hooked to the internet. I don't know what I would do without it and every year when we go away to various music festivals, where computers are not accessible in the middle of a field, I am ashamed to admit that I am constantly wondering what I am missing!

Monseiur Polo is guarding my Uni books...he growls every time I go near them, honest!

I agree, Andy Warhol! This is just a small selection of my bags hanging from my dressmakers dummy that got used, like, once for the purpose for which it was designed.

Clothes, clothes clothes. We have a HUGE double wardrobe thing. The Kenneth's side is immaculately tidy. His tshirts are all hanging straight, not a sock out of place. My side is a complete riot. Ten items hung haphazardly on one hanger and no order to anything. I am always getting blamed for the sliding doors coming off their tracks due to the bulging nature of my side of the wardrobe. Not fair. It's obviously a design fault.

The Kenneth converted me from PCs to MACs, and apple products in general. I didn't think it could happen, but it did. My sister bought me the mousemat for my birthday this year. It has a really old picture of us when we were younger wearing clothing made from halloween favourite crepe paper.

Moving out into the upstairs hall, we have our book shelves. Another project (to put up more of them) that has yet to be completed. Jack's door. I won't put up any pictures of his room...it's a mess and I don't think anyone reading a fashion blog would be interested in his army of Go-Gos (don't ask), or his Star Wars figure collection. But I may be wrong.

My favourite frames from Urban Outfitters, with my favourite guys in them. You can just about see Jack doing his 'Harry Potter' pose while holding a wand (a stick).

Into the living room now. My first of two paintings we own by Neil Slorance of OSM Art depicting Epic film, Ghostbusters! A little clock that never keeps the right time, that The Kenneth thinks is 'vintage'. Fool.

The best phone in the world (fact). Even though it goes with nothing else in the living room, and half the time, it doesn't even ring when the phone goes, I will never part with it. It would probably be more in keeping with the colours in the bedroom, but then nobody would see it!! It's staying.

Decor wise, I am not a girly girl. I would love to have a big games room with a pool table, wii, dartboard, guitar hero, a huge tv, and DVD library. Until Jack leaves home (when your 16, your out the door) and frees up his bedroom for this purpose, we will just have to manage with a games 'corner'.

The kitchen is a bit dull, so I won't bore you with pictures of pots and pans, and our dishwasher, but I quite like this wee area. Just beside our big clunky boiler (I think that's what it is anyway), and The Kenneth's limeade bottle awaiting recycling, is our wee boosh canvas with the lovely Messers Fielding and Barratt.

Anyway, that's it. Hope you enjoyed the tour.
